Maker SpaceDesign and print your own functional items on a 3D printer. This is an in-depth 3D printer class: students must attend all 4 sessions. Funded by Project Next Generation.
Explore the world of product design and 3D printer functionality! Teens are invited to the WPL Maker Space for this hands-on, in-depth 3D printer class. During 4 lessons, students in grades 6-8 will learn about design processes, 3D modeling, CAD software, design iteration, slicing, and 3D printing. Family members are invited to join us at the last session to admire the results!
- Students must attend all 4 sessions: October 22, October 29, November 5, and November 12
- All sessions take place on Thursdays from 4:30-6:30pm
- Small snacks will be provided during the event for registered teens
- Only registered teens in grades 6-8 will be allowed to attend
2 hours are reserved for each session, but some will end early. Instructors will communicate the schedule to teens and their families after registration. Prompt arrivals are appreciated to ensure all students receive necessary instructions.
Registration is required. Registration opens on October 1, 2026.

The Main Library is located on the corner of County and Clayton St in downtown Waukegan. The Library provides internet access, public access computers, collaborative workstations, study rooms, and meeting rooms.
